Mount Pleasant Baptist was founded in 1869 with the current building built in 1973 according to the cornerstone. It is a brick church with a white steeple. A cemetery is to the left of the main entrance and a pavilion with picnic tables to the right. The cornerstone is large white marble located to the right of the main entrance.
