This tower was erected in 1939 as a fire tower - standing 120 feet high and affording a 60-mile panoramic view of the area. There are 168 steps to get to the top at 1239 feet above sea level.
There are a series of landings for most of the climb which help make the climb easier, and a spiral staircase leading to the highest part of the tower.

Opening times and fees: The Fire Tower is open to the public 12pm-4pm, on the Sunday before the second Wednesday of the month and the third Saturday of the month.
There is a donation box at the bottom of the steps.
