Long Description:
St. Mary's Church (Norwegian: Mariakirken) is a medieval church dating from the 12th century and is the oldest remaining building in Bergen, Norway. There are an estimated 200 graves in this churchyard cemetery. This broken column headstone is located behind the church. Unfortunately, any inscription that was on the headstone has long worn off; therefore, we are unable to provide a name for the individual interred here. The broken column is decorated with a stone wreath hanging from the top of the column.
