Passe à Saumon - Baie Trinité - Salmon Ladder - Fish Ladders on Waymarking.com

Voici où le saumon quitte le fleuve Saint-Laurent et monte la rivière Trinité vers leurs frayères. Un barrage a été construit sur la rivière, une passe à saumon a été construite pour faciliter les montaisons des saumons. Le haut de la passe à saumon a une zone d'attente où les poissons sont comptés et mesurés à des fins statistiques. La pêche est autorisée sur cette rivière, mais strictement contrôlé, et comprend la remise à l'eau pour les poissons plus petits et plus gros.

Here is where the salmon leave the St.Lawrence River and make their up the Trinité river towards their spawning grounds. A dam has been built on the river,so a fish ladder was built. The top of the ladder has a holding area where fish are counted and measured for statistical purpose. Fishing is allowed on this river, but strictly controlled, and included catch and release for both smaller and bigger fish.
