[EN] The wall itself is three meters wide. Its typical Roman facing of small cubical stones interspersed with brick ties shows numerous incidences of repairs which occurred down through the centuries until the wall was reconverted in the 12th century and served as the substructure for successive generations of buildings. Vestiges of Romanesque and Gothic houses can be seen in the sealed windows.
