St. Paul's United Church
The International Coal and Coke Co Ltd set aside land for this church on the hill to the north, but the congregation preferred to purchase land closer to the town centre. St. Paul's Institutional (Presbyterian) Church was dedicated on April 1, 1906. Canadian novelist Ralph Connor (Rev. C. W. Gordon) made a donation to ensure that multi-denominational recreation and reading rooms would be included; these "club rooms" were opened in 1906, and in later years would be used as overflow classrooms by the nearby Coleman Central School. The church manse was built in 1907, on the site of the old Mission Hall built in 1904 for use by several denominations.

St. Paul's became a United Church in 1926 as part of the creation of the United Church of Canada.
