The Fine Arts Institute is a nonprofit community arts organization that has been in operation for thirty years. It is located at 27 E. Edwards and provides classes in drawing, painting, pottery, jewelry making, performing arts, and many other art-related areas.
On the west side of the building is a lovely little garden area, with sculpture, flowers and seating. This mural was painted on the wood fence by students at the Institute. In a child-like rendition, it shows two blue spotted horses facing each other. You will find silhouettes of birds, rabbits, turtles, butterflies, squirrels and bugs, if you look closely. Across the bottom are yellow flowers, and all the green foliage is made of students' painted hands.
This is a whimsical and enjoyable mural.
