Ms. Anderson's star is located on Rodeo Plaza, near the entrance to Billy Bob's Texas. The star says:

Lynn was born On September 26, 1947 in Grand Forks North Dakota. As an accomplished equestrian, Lynn has won 16 National Championships (including the National Cutting Horse Association Champion in 1999), 8 world championships, and numerous celebrity Championships. In addition to this, she works with a horseback- riding therapy program for children called “Special Riders of Animaland”. Anderson continues to raise horses at her ranch in Taos, New Mexico.

Lynn Anderson is also an accomplished Country Western singer. Some of her awards and honors include Academy of Country Music Award Top Female Vocalist in 1967 and 1970, Grammy Award 1971 Best Female Country Vocal Performance, and Country Music Association Award 1971 Female Vocalist of the Year, American Music Award 1974 Favorite Female Country Artist, World Record and Bill board 1980 Artist of the Decade 1970-1980.

The Academy of Western Artists in 2007 awarded her Best Western Song, Best Western Album; Cowgirl, Best Western Swing Album; Cowgirl, and Best Female Vocalist. In 2002 Lynn was inducted into the American Country Music Association Hall of Fame.
