In Medfield, within the Rocky Woods Reservation, is this pedestrian bridge over Echo Pond.

The reservation is located in Medfield, off Hartford Street. The western end of Hartford Street intersects Mass. Route 109. The parking lot is on the north side. Pay $5 a car at the automated parking meter near the parking shack. A kiosk nearby usually has maps available. Also, you could print the map ahead. It is highly recommended that you use a map as the trail system is networked and you could get turned around despite the numbered intersections. From the parking lot, the most direct way is to walk down the Loop Trail to intersection 1, then take the Echo Pond Trail to the intersection where the bridge is located on the right.

The bridge is a wooden structure spanning about 100 ft across the southern lobe of Echo Pond. The view is of this shallow pond with lots of lily pads on the surface. As you gaze over the pond, you may notice other things floating or sitting. At the time of the visit, in the mid summer, we saw turtles sunning themselves on logs and rocks, tadpoles in various stages of growth, and dragon and damsel flies hovering.
