The Niagara Falls YMCA was established in 1899. It was built as a "Railway Y" in that it was located next to the trainyards in order to provide railway workers with recreation, reading, writing rooms and accomodations.

Today, the Y is located in south Niagara Falls inside the multi-use MacBain Community Centre. There is a 25 metre 4 lane pool with chair lift, a gymnasium, fitness rooms, Multipurpose rooms, family care rooms, etc.
