The Shire Offices also includes the library in this small town on the Darling Downs, a rich agricultural area in Southern Queensland. The foundation stone is beside the main entrance. The building is well maintained & in original condition.

This stone was lad by Councillor John Hoey Chairman of the council of the Shire of Allora on 13th April 1960.
