The Waterville, ME, American Legion Post #5 (Bourque-Lanigan) has created a memorial to US armed forces featuring a tank and the flags of each service branch.
The dedication plaque (pictures) reads:
November 11th 2000
Dedicated to the men and women of
the United States Armed Forces who
proudly served in all wars and conflicts.

The only information present on the site about the tank was the serial plaque (pictured). Judging by internet pictures, I think it may be an M41, used in Vietnam, but perhaps another waymarker will know better.
The memorial is located at the rear of Post #5's parking lot.
Location restrictions:
The memorial is located on the property of American Legion Post #5 (Bourque-Lanigan). It is on the eastern edge of their parking lot. Waymarkers can cross the parking lot on foot, or view the tank from the sidewalk on Front Street to the east. The memorial is clearly intended to be viewed by the public, and there are no entry fees or hours of operation.
