The Moe Township school dates back to 1885 and is displayed at Ft. Alexandria on the grounds of the Runestone Museum. It was from District #5 and one of the earliest schools in Douglas County. It has a wood burning stove in the front corner covered by a pressed metal screen and a library in the rear of the room. Desks are graduated in size for students in a variety of grades; a sink for washing hands is at the entry, probably a later addition. The original bell stands in front of the school. The classroom is used occasionally for special events.
