This lift was built in 1968 from the tourist resort Fiescheralp up to Eggishorn. The lift has a length of 1836 meters and a capacity of 210 passengers per hour.
Eggishorn is one of the primary spots with a great view over the largest glacier of the Alps, the Aletsch Glacier, but also a skiing area in winter and a popular hiking area in summer.
