The fountain is modern, but modeled after an old "Laufbrunnen" - the type all villages in the area formerly used to have as their water supply. Inside a concrete circle, there is a column with a statue of a miner on top (iron mining used to be a profession of many people here in the area). The water flows out of four pipes into the circle.
