A "famous" burial here is that of Neal Martin, who lived past 102 years of age after serving in the fight for Texas Independence, the Mexican-American War, and even the Civil War. He was also a Texas Ranger, and is honored with a Texas Historical Marker near the front gate of the cemetery.
