The Flix Brewhouse, located at Merle Hay Mall, combines movie theaters, a restaurant, and a brewpub for an afternoon or evening of unique entertainment. The 8 movie auditoriums vary in size from 48 to 236 seats and offer tables, bar stools, and booths for dining. A full menu includes pizza, burgers, wraps, salads, appetizers, and desserts; buttered and gourmet popcorn are also available. Six different beers can be ordered from the on-site brewery.
The movies are shown with state of the art digital cinema projection and sound. Tickets are priced from $7.50 to $10.50; seats can be reserved and purchased online or at one of the kiosks in the mall. This is the first Movie Theater Meal establishment in Iowa and just opened in 2014.
