The clock is constructed of light coloured bricks & has four white faces with dark green hands. It sits in the middle of the main street which has a divider at this point & centre parking elsewhere.

Fred F. Mills M.B.E. was the Mayor of Clermont from 1927 to 1930, Deputy Chairman of the Belyando Shire from 1930 to 1932 & Chairman from 1932 to 1967. The plaque was unveiled by R.C. Katter Federal Member for Kennedy on 19 December 1967.
