The Florida Southern College sundial is located near the center of the west campus, which features many buildings designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It was donated by the Senior Class of 1957.

This distinctive sundial was installed on the FSC campus nearby fifty years ago. It tracks time rather accurately, and is placed in a nice sunny spot. The base is constructed of blocks similar to those used in the adjacent Frank Lloyd Wright buildings, although I do not believe the sundial was designed by Wright.
The concrete pad immediately to the west of the sundial originally had this lettering:
WALK AND SUNDIAL
SENIOR CLASS
1957
A metal plate on the sundial is stamped:
SUN TIME PLUS
28 MINUTES EQUALS
EASTERN STANDARD
TIME
Visitors are welcome on the campus. Please park in marked visitor parking, or along Johnson Avenue, on the west side of campus. The walk to the sundial from parking takes two minutes or less.
