The museum of Lausen is located in a former barn that once belonged to the rectory in the church area in the northwest of town. It is quite small and does not even have a sign, only some exhibits in the front yard, a sculpure, a millstone, and a mining car show that the is something to visit inside the building.
The collection is about the history of the municipality that dates back to the Roman times in the 1st century AD.
They also exhibit works of local contemporary artists.
The museum is open free of charge the first Sunday every month except during the summer holidays.
