Memorial for the crew of the Clark GA-43 (Pilot Ernst Gerber and Radio Navigator Arthur Müller), that crashed here in the night of April 30, 1936 during a cargo flight from Frankfurt / Main to Basel.

The memorial can be found easily along the hiking trail between Mount Rigi and Kaltbad. The crash site itself is about 60 meters deeper in a very steep and wayless area.

The crew was on a cargo night flight home back from Frankfurt/Main to Basel. There was low visibility due to the night and fog. The plane hit Mount Rigi and crashed.
