EN: The Zunfthaus zum Löwen in the old town of Olten is the oldest restaurant in town. Its history goes back to the late 15th century. Its present appearance dates from the mid-19th century, but significant parts of the original structure have been preserved.
Today, the lion is a first class Thai-class restaurant with Gault Millau points.
A volume of short stories and speeches of the writer Ulrich Knellwolf has the title "The invention of Swiss History in the Löwen of Olten".
DE: Das Zunfthaus zum Löwen in der Altstadt von Olten ist das älteste Restaurant der Stadt. Seine Geschichte geht bis ins späte 15. Jahrhundert zurück. Sein heutiges Aussehen stammt aus der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts, aber beträchtliche Teile der originalen Bausubstanz sind noch erhalten.
Heute befindet sich im Löwen ein Thai-Restaurant der Spitzenklasse mit Gault-Millau-Punkten.
Ein Band mit Kurzgeschichten und Reden des Schriftstellers Ulrich Knellwolf trägt den Titel "Die Erfindung der Schweizergeschichte im Löwen zu Olten".
