Nova Scotia highway webcams are operated by the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR). Most are mounted on tall steel towers, most of which have weather sensors included on the tower. The sensors measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and wind direction and speed.
The webcam pic below is more or less real time and will update every 30 to 40 minutes, depending on conditions.
The Bridgewater highway camera is mounted on the east side of Highway 103, just south of the Highway 325 overpass. The camera looks south down Highway 103. From this point Highway 325 heads east to Bridgewater, less that a kilometre away, then over the LeHave River. Highway 103 continues its journey south and west to the southern tip of Nova Scotia.
