The Methodist Church become popular on Cape Cod in the early 19th century. Classes were held in private homes. In 1826 the Methodist Episcopal Society was formed at Marstons Mills. In 1830 the church was moved from Yarmouth to Marstons Mills by oxen to land donated by Allan Marston and Ebenezer Scudder. The little church underwent various expansions and remodeling. In 1959 a surplus barracks for Otis Air Force Base was moved to the church.
