The Will Rogers Hotel was constructed in 1930 and operated into the 1980's. Its main attraction was the mineral water found in the Claremore area. The building contained a six-story hotel with 78 rooms plus seven apartments, with the sixth floor containing baths where visitors could obtain one of the area's popular "radium" baths, followed by a shower and massage. At this time, the mineral waters found in Claremore were thought to have curative powers. (In reality, there was no "radium" in the waters.)

This sign is painted on the elevator shaft on the roof of the hotel. It reads: "Hotel Will Rogers / Radium Water / Bath / Massages". The hotel ceased these baths in the 1980's and this sign would have been painted during the heyday between 1930 and 1980.

Today, the hotel is a Senior Apartment complex, with shops on the ground floor. To read about the "radium" water attraction so popular in the 1930's and beyond, (visit link)
