Lime Valley Covered bridge was built in 1871, by builder Elias McMellen. The bridge is a one span bridge, 103 feet 10 inches in length by 14 feet 1 inch in width.
In 1972, Hurrican Agnes caused waters of eighteen inches to rise over the floor of the bridge, yet it remained standing with minor damage.
Lime Valley Covered Bridge is owned by Lancaster County, and is in good condition today.
The bridge is also known as, Strasburg Bridge and Pequea #8 Bridge.
