This Grade I listed church is Medieval, probably built in the C14th and C15th then restored in 1857. It is relatively small consisting only of a nave, a chancel, a west tower, and north and south porches. It is built in flint rubble with stone dressings and the chancel has the remains of render, the nave has a slated roof and the chancel is plaintiled. The massive square tower is of late C14th build.

The C15th North Porch is where the gargoyle is situated, on the east side above a tall two-light window with mask label stops, and is probably an original fitting. It has been altered by the addition of a long lead pipe, it has a humanoid face, and takes the water from the roof area of the porch from behind the parapet.

The porch 'front' has some fine flushwork in the panelled facade and on the front of the parapet. The moulded entrance arch is on shafted jambs, the hoodmould on further shafts, and there are shield-carved spandrels. Above the arch is a stone frieze of crowned M's and a canopied image niche flanked by demi buttress-shafts.
Water spout is used: yes

Condition: Lightly Weathered
