Mt. Davis is located in the Forbes State Forest and is accessible by car with parking just to the SW of the high point & observation tower. There are also plaques noting the history, geology, & nature of the area.
The high point itself is marked by a benchmark sitting on top of an 8-foot boulder, and the nearby tower gives visitors a view from a vantage point 50 feet higher.
The mountaintop is relatively flat, so one doesn't get the impact of being 'above it all', but there are great views of the surrounding countryside.
