The spring is located in a wooded area behind the homesite were George Washington Carver lived as a boy. The spring is a long the Carver trail which runs throughout the monument site. At the spring there is an interpretive sign giving information about George Washington Carver retrieving water from this spring.
The trail is accessed via the national monument's visitor center located at N36° 59.178 W94° 21.274.
