Pour expérimenter le phénomène, sortez du village de Ste-Sophie sur la route principale, direction sud-est. Passez la route Tanguay sur votre gauche puis vous arriverez au coordonnées du phénomène. Activez vos clignotants d'urgenge, arrêtez votre véhicule sur la route tout en faisant face vers le sud, moteur en marche, pied sur les freins, transmission au neutre. Même s'il s'agit d'une route peu fréquentée, demeurez prudent. Maintenant, regardez droit devant vous : vous voyez une côte qui descend... mais, contre toute attente, relâcher les freins et votre auto reculera !
To experience the phenomenon, exit the village of Ste-Sophie on the main road, south-east. Pass Tanguay road on your left and you will reach the coordinates of the phenomenon. Activate your hazard lights, slow down and stop on the road facing south, engine running, foot on the brake, transmission in neutral. Although there is very little traffic, remain cautious. Now look straight ahead: you see a road that goes down ... but, against all odds, release the brakes and your car will start moving in the opposite direction from what you expected.
