This siren is located on the Southeast side of the city
of Oswego. It is now used for the local nuclear power plant as a warning siren and it is tested a few times a year just in case there is a problem at the nuclear plant. I have seen others in the city and was told they used to be used quite a bit during the cold war days. I personally have never been in the city when they have been tested, so I don't know what they sound like.
