Millerbeck Light Railway was deliberately kept low key because the track is laid out in a private garden. Hence you could not find any web page nor adverts about the club. They open to the public on English Bank Holidays and some weekends, between 11 am to 5 pm.
Look for the simple white laminated A3 verge signs on A590 and A592 just East of Newby Bridge. Members bring steam, diesel and electric engines in the back of their cars and trailers. Rolling stock has capacity for 12 people at a time, but some engines pull less.
After house recently changed hands, new owner has carried on with railway open days, and there is now a emailing list to keep you informed of events.
