The island consists of two parts focusing on extinct volcanoes and connected by a short causeway, the Isthmus of Taravao. The largest of these parts, north-west, is named Tahiti Nui (Great Tahiti) while the other part, in the south-east, is called Tahiti Iti (Little Tahiti) or the peninsula of Taiarapu.
You will take a guided vehicle to get to the Maroto relay to see Lake crtère and cones around
You can see the tiara of the road and visit the heart of the volcano with a guided tour. Superb!

L'île se compose de deux parties centrées sur des volcans éteints et reliées par un court bras de terre, l'isthme de Taravao. La plus grande de ces parties, située au nord-ouest, est nommée Tahiti Nui (la Grande Tahiti) tandis que l'autre partie, située au sud-est, est appelée Tahiti Iti (la Petite Tahiti) ou encore la presqu’île de Taiarapu.
Vous prendrez un véhicule avec guide pour vous rendre au relais de la Maroto pour y voir le lac du crtère et les cones tout autour
Vous pouvez voir le Diadème de la route et vous pouvez visiter le coeur du volcan avec une visite guidée. Superbe!
