"In celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee 2012

This carving was fashioned from one solid piece of oak
and tells the story of Wellingore and the life of its residents
over the centuries up to the present day.
Our thanks are due to the Wellingore Woodpeckers and other
local woodcarvers who worked for over 18 monthe to complete it.
We are especially grateful to the project leader, Helen Link of
artsNK, whose creativity inspired and developed the project's
theme and whose dedication guaranteed its success.
Wellingore Parish Council."
