Tower built: 1879

This school was a rural school house from 1879 to 1944. It was originally located 2 miles west of town. It was moved here in 2002 by Friends of Elk Falls
This school is now an odd museum, it houses lifetime collection of Maryland's outhouse expert, Homer Allison, which was donated to the Friends of Elk Falls in 2009.

To tour the school building and outhouse collection you have to attend the annual Outhouse Tour & Contest of Elk Falls on the Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving.
