[ENG] The Laeiszhalle, even music hall Hamburg, is the traditional concert hall in Hamburg at the Johannes Brahms place. The Great Hall has 2025 places, a large organ and a magnificent architecture, since more than one hundred years of Hamburg premier source for concert events.

The Hamburg ship owner Carl Laeisz bequeathed to the city testamentary 1.2 million mark "for the edification of a music hall in Hamburg", which was increased by his widow Sophie Laeisz subsequently to a total of 2 million mark. This created from 1904 to 1908 under the direction of architect Martin Haller and Emil Meerwein on a estate of the City Ground on Wallring a music hall in neo-baroque style of the time. The inauguration took place on June 4, 1908. At the time, the Laeiszhalle was the largest and most modern concert hall in Germany.
