An elegant black obelisk stands as a memorial to all Marines Corps members who have served since their first engagement in the Revolutionary War, through all the wars since, and extending into the future. This memorial has been erected in front of the USS ALABAMA (BB 60) in Battleship Park. Every engagement in every war that Marines have served in is listed on the sides of this obelisk.
