The plaque commemorating the Oranje School 150th anniversary is embedded in the stone base of a school bell located on the grounds of the school.
The inscription on the plaque reads:
"Unveiling of the schollbell by H. M. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Oranje School (1851 - 2001)
January 21, 2001"
Founded in 1851, the Oranje School celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2001 and its 160th in 2011.
