Bronze Statue of two well-known local men sitting on a wooden bench.
It's made by Kiny Copinga in 1990.
Kiny Copinga is a Dutch sculptor born in 1943 in Odoorn.
On the street in front of the statue is a bronze plaque.
On the plaque is written:
"Lute and Endrik, prominent figures from the
Opregte Steenwijker Courant
they give their own views on the local news.
Creation of Kiny Copinga in the Anniversary year
of the 125-year-old Courant (1990)"
The Opregte Steenwijker Courant is a newspaper with local and regional news, which comes out three times a week.
