Not as heavily travelled as, for example, Highway 5 or Highway 97, 5A is still the most direct route between Princeton and Merritt. Along this section of the highway is just one rest area, this one by a little lake called Taylor Lake. At the rest area is a single pit toilet and a couple of picnic tables as well as benches by the lake, and a generous parking area. I can't say whether there are fish in Taylor Lake, but I would bet that there are.
