A cable-stayed footbridge over the Kwinana Freway

The cable-stayed support system for the footbridge comprises two hollow, box-steel towers of equal height, with cables supporting the deck of the 56m main span at four points. The bridge was constructed in the early 2000's to replace an earlier bridge that was dismantled when the Freeway was widened and the railway put down the centre median.
The bridge allows access over the Freeway to a popular fishing and swimming beach on the shore of the Swan River
