Northwestern National Bank Building; Also known as American Bank Building (1913-14) is located at 621 SW Morrison Street, Portland. Architectural Style: Beaux Arts. Architect: (A. E. Doyle) Doyle, Patterson, and Beach.Timber barons Henry L. Pittock and Frederick Leadbetter funded this brick and terra cotta building. The smooth brickwork on the front of this building was originally dull-yellow; it was painted white in 1983. The building features a three-story Corinthian colonnade. The details on the upper floors include griffins and eagles. The large clock mounted at the southeast corner is a waymark.
