A must see on any visit to the Outer Banks. A visitors center houses an accurate reproduction of the Wright's glider and the first powered plane. The recent 100th anniversary of their successful flight has added another exhibit building with plenty of new and interesting things to see. It's worthwhile to walk up to the monument on the hill for the view, and for the closeup of this timeless design.
