In 1900 an impressive new church was opened on Constitution Hill in Wellington, Telford. Built of brick with stone dressings, it was designed in the Gothic style by Ingall & Sons of Birmingham. In 1920 the Baptists closed their chapel on King Street in Wellington, and joined the Congregationalists, whose church was then registered as a Union Free church. There were 41 members in 1983.
