Fruitvale Memorial Cemetery is very well maintained by the Village of Fruitvale and was established in 1953. This large arch marks the main entrance to the cemetery off Columbia Gardens Road. It is centred north-south in the cemetery with a wide concrete walkway behind it containing several benches and a columbarium at the end of the walkway.

The arch is made of square steel tubing welded to round steel pipe uprights. Between the pair of horizontal steel tubes is steel lettering which reads:
