In the entrance vestibule of the St Peter and St Paul Chapel, at the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) in Greenwich, there are four allegorical figures representing "Faith", "Hope", "Charity" and "Meekness". This verse is for the "Hope" figure.

The inscription at the base of the "Hope" statue reads:

Which hope we have as
an anchor of the soul
both sure and steadfast
.

The is taken from Hebrews 6 - God's Promise is Certain. The full verse from the King James Bible on the Bible Hub website is:
