St Andrew's Church, located on Church Street in Shifnal, dates back to the 12th Century, although people have worshipped on this site for well over a thousand years. As a Centre of Christianity, St Andrew's was originally a Minster Church with a college of Priests serving the area.
Among the many architectural and historical features of interest in the Church the main ones are-:
A double Chancel Arch - Norman and 13th century
A 13th century porch with Priest's room above
A 14th century Lady Chapel
19th century floor and wall tiles from Coalbrookdale
