Das Foto wurde um 1890 aufgenommen. Es zeigt die Louisenstraße (damals noch ohne "o" geschrieben) und links den Alten Bahnhof. Damals war es noch wirklich eine Eisenbahnstation, heute steht hier das Rathaus wobei der Platz aber heute noch Alter Bahnhof genannt wird. Rechts ist eine Apotheke, die es damals auch schon gab.
Pferdekutschen fahren hier nicht mehr und auch keine von Pferden gezogenen Straßenbahnen. Nur noch Autos und Busse - aber hier beginnt heute die Fußgängerzone der Louisenstraße.
Und damals hieß die Stadt noch Homburg - das "Bad" kam erst 1912 dazu.

The photo was made around 1890. It shows the Louisenstreet (at that time it was writte without an "o") and at the left hand side the Old Trainstation. At that time it really was a Train Station, but it has been demolished in the meantime and today there is the town hall. But the place is still called: Old Trainstation. At the right is a pharmacy - as it was back in 1900 already (not shown on the old picture).
Horse-drawn carriage are rarely seen nowadays and no horse-drawn tramway. Only cars and busses use the road - but after the junction a pedestrian area starts.
And at that time the city was called Homburg only - the appendix "Bad" was awarded in 1912 only.
