Canadian Army Sherman Mark 4 tank located at the front of the Owen Sound Armouries. The tank was the main armoured vehicle of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters, a Reserve Regiment whose first battalion served within the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps overseas, and second battalion was part of the Canadian Infantry Corps in Canada.
Although the regiment shipped overseas, it was broken up while in England in order to support other armoured units. After WWII, the regiment was redesignated as artillery, and finally back to infantry, where it serves today.
The tank bears the markings of the 1st Canadian Division, and of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters (maroon and white vertical stripes on the sides).
