Calvary Church held its first service in late August 1972 as Calvary Assembly in the Odd Fellows Community Hall in Adamsburg. Having little money but enormous faith, the small but determined congregation numbering 75 worshiped God. They had no money available to purchase any Sunday School material or hymnals but through God's provision and determination they found a way to do both.
Calvary Church's first building was soon completed in July of 1974, and in the spring of 1976 an addition to the building was finished. In 1985, the church was growing and began construction on a new church facility. This facility was completed in 1986 and provided the space for the church to continue to grow. Dedication ceremonies were held August 24, 1986.
